boxes

This a random little post here, but perfectly relevant to what I am doing right now.

Shipping boxes

Such a simple task, it seems.

Have you ever shipped a box? Like, made the box, and packaged the box, and filled the box, and taped the box, and paid to ship the box, and scheduled to ship the box? Not to mention actually making what you are putting in the box.

Have you ever bought a box? Because that's a thing, ya know. Paying money for a blank, plain, boring brown box is a real thing. There are entire websites just for buying this very kind of box. And there are different types of plain brown cardboard. And different sizes of boxes. And boxes with different kinds of flaps. It is confusing really.

Never in my life did I think opening an Etsy shop would also involve educating myself on boxes.

All I'm saying is, next time you order something online and it magically arrives at your door, just remember, that box on your doorstep is much more complex than you might think :)
