meet me

Hi there!

I'm Jordan, a twenty-something with big dreams and a never-ending to-do list.

What kind of caption do you put for this? "that's me, on the left. also we are smiling in this photo"

I've wanted to be an interior designer since before the 8th grade. I don't remember exactly when, but I know in the 8th grade yearbook, my answer to the famous question "what do you want to be when you grow up" was "an interior designer".

My husband and I met through mutual friends, ended up being high school sweethearts and got married a couple of years after graduating college. We are quite opposite some days, but I truly think we compliment each other in ways we never would have imagined. Our "family" consists of two pitbulls and two cats. Cats are a new thing for me, so I am still learning what that is all about... so far I have confirmed that they are nocturnal.  Also crazy.

We live in O'Fallon, Missouri. It is kind of a suburb of the suburbs of St. Louis. (That makes sense, right?)

I went to school for interior design and currently work at a furniture dealership. What does that mean? We sell furniture to businesses, like schools, offices, and hospitals. My job is creating conceptual spaces for our clients. I help them figure out what they need and how much money they can really spend. I love it.  A job that lets me look at beautiful fabrics and furniture, make technical drawings AND use spreadsheets?  What more could a girl ask for?!

When I'm not at work, I am always staying busy (it tends to be both my strength and weakness). I opened an Etsy shop in June of 2013 selling home decor items. I just finished training for my first half marathon in October. My husband and I are always doing some version of a house project. And I try to spend time with friends and family whenever I can.
